Hello Robert I just discovered the web site of John and Jane McKelvey and found it very interesting. I am the last living Grand Child of John and Jane McKelvey. I am the youngest daughter of Lillis2 (Lilly) McKelvey- John --- and Sherman Ross. I live at Elida Ohio. Lillis and Sherman died in Allen county Ohio and are buried in East Cairo Commentary in Allen Co. Ohio. Also David McKelvey II and his wife are buried in Hardin Co Ohio. It is not too far from me, but I would have to look up the dates etc. I saw Mary McKelvey and Alexander Mckelvey. Mary McKelvey is buried at Colorado Springs and had two children; Stanley and Maurene. My brother Willis and sister Leora are both dead. I was born 8-12-1921, so never saw my grandparents. But My mother told me so much and talked about her sister and brothers etc. About Grand mother Jane coming over on a sail ship with her brother and it took them 6 weeks. I have tried to research John and Jane in Ireland but did not get far. Would love to know more. I Married Wilbur Vandemark and have 4 children. Debra Kaye, Keaton Dean, Marsha Ann, Larry Keith. I have 8 grandchildren, and 3 great grand children. |
