John McKelvey was born in Bellyemans, Northern Ireland
on January 20, 1826. He came to America and settled
at Old Philadelphia in the state of Pennsylvania in 1840.
Jane Logan was born on February 2, 1832 near Belfast,
Northern Ireland. She came to America and also settled
in Old Philadelphia.
John and Jane met in Pennsylvania
and were united in marriage in 1857 in Downingstown, Pa. They moved to Ohio to
Holmes County and then settled in the town of Killbuck in 1861.
They resided there until the Lord called them home.
To their union was born four sons and three daughters.
They are in order of birth;
Robert L. McKelvey, David McKelvey, William McKelvey,
Mary McKelvey, Anna Nancy McKelvey, Alexander McKelvey,
and Lilly McKelvey.

The two oldest boys, were born in Pennsylvania.
(And the year of Wiliam's birth, comes into question, of
what year he actually was born! {1859 or 1862} Therefore,
they also were living in Honeybrook, Chester County, Pennsylvania,
and found in the 1860 census, thereof.
By 1870, and thereafter, they were living in Ohio, and found in
the latter censuses. (most of all the 1890 census was lost in fire)
And therefore, the listings below, verifies some of my latest notes!
(And now, re-reading the older history, of John coming in 1840, then, I should
find them somewhere in the 1850 census, of Pennsylvania, perhaps!
